Pikowl is designed to collect as little data as possible. No accounts. No file uploads. No tracking cookies. This page explains exactly what's collected, why, and what your rights are.

1. The short version

Pikowl's tools run entirely in your browser. When you use a calculator or converter, your inputs never leave your device. We use a privacy-friendly analytics service (Plausible) to count visits in aggregate, and our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard server logs. That's essentially it.

3. What we collect

Aggregate analytics
Via Plausible Analytics. Counts page views, referrer, country, browser, and device type. No cookies. No cross-site tracking. No personal identifiers. IP addresses are used to derive country, then discarded — never stored.
Server logs
Cloudflare, our hosting provider, automatically keeps standard request logs: IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent. Used for security and abuse prevention. Retention is managed by Cloudflare (typically up to 30 days for request logs).
Tool inputs
Not collectedEverything you type into a calculator, converter, or tool runs in your browser's JavaScript runtime. It is not transmitted to Pikowl or any third party.
File uploads
Not collectedPDF, image, and file tools process everything client-side. Your files are not uploaded to a server.
Browser storage
Some tools use your browser's localStorage to remember settings, preferences, or recent inputs between visits (for example, a preferred unit system or a saved format). This data stays in your browser and is never transmitted to Pikowl or any third party. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site settings.
Account data
Not collectedPikowl has no signup, login, or user accounts. There is no account data to collect.
Cookies
Not usedPikowl sets no cookies. Plausible is explicitly cookieless.

4. Third-party services

Pikowl uses a small number of third-party services. Each is listed below with a link to their own privacy policy.

Plausible Analytics
Aggregate, cookieless site analytics. Privacy policy. Data is processed in the European Union.
Cloudflare
Hosting, CDN, DDoS protection. Sees standard HTTP request data. Privacy policy.

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, we rely on legitimate interest for server logs (security, abuse prevention) and aggregate analytics (understanding site usage without identifying individuals). We do not process special category data or engage in automated decision-making.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights under applicable data protection laws, including:

Because Pikowl doesn't have accounts and doesn't log your tool inputs, most of what we hold is aggregate and anonymous — there is usually no personal data to access or delete. For requests about server log entries tied to a specific IP, contact us at the email above. We aim to respond to all requests within 30 days.

7. Children's privacy

Pikowl is a general-audience site and does not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

Material changes will be announced by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes — a new analytics provider, the addition of ads — will be noted in a changelog below.
